A run of Canton Improvement Proposals reached completion this month, broadening the network's super-validator (SV) set. Tokenomics confirmed milestones for CIP-0061 (adding Chainlink as a super validator), CIP-0087 (Hex Trust, weight 3, with its custody integration live as of May 12), CIP-0080 (Republic, weight 6) and CIP-0102 (Canton Strategic).
Each distribution followed the same discipline: Canton Coin values were independently confirmed by two separate parties before being submitted for on-chain SV approval and voting. That two-key check is a quiet but important governance control as the value flowing through CIP deliverables grows.
For the network, the names matter as much as the mechanics. An oracle provider, a regulated custodian and capital-markets platforms taking super-validator weight deepens the institutional backbone that Canton has been assembling.
